We are able to provide a technical drawing of a building (or building project).  We can use these drawings, of the existing and proposed, alongside a formal planning application to the relevant Local Authority to seek permission for your proposals assuming planning permission is required.

Most new buildings or major changes to existing buildings or to the local environment need consent - known as planning permission. Without a planning system everyone could construct buildings or use land in any way they wanted, no matter what effect this would have on other people who live and work in their area.

Your local planning authority is responsible for deciding whether a development - anything from an extension on a house to a new shopping centre - should go ahead.

We are happy to advise you on whether or not planning permission is required and we are able to act, on your behalf, to submit the requisite detailed application supported by the requisite drawings and any other supporting documentation, for example, Design and Access Statements.

We also deal with permitted development rights, listed buildings, conservation areas, advertisement consent.
Once a planning application has been received, accompanied by all the necessary information, it should be validated as soon as is reasonably practicable. The Local Planning Authority should then start the determination process. Notification should be given to the applicant in writing.

In our experience, such applications, from the point of validation can take up to 6-8 weeks.  Until the application is deemed valid, additional queries may be raised which we would be happy to assist.
